Emmanuel Dogbevi, one of Ghana’s most respected journalists, has urged the media to show restraint and responsibility in their coverage of conflicts, particularly in light of the ongoing tensions in Bawku.
Speaking at a journalism hangout in Walewale on Thursday (8 August 2025), held at the Wale FM conference centre in the North East Region, Dogbevi warned that careless reporting could inflame already fragile situations.
“Journalism is so important that we cannot just do journalism anyhow,” he told participants.
